Analyst predicts low sells in iPhone

With Apple's fourth calendar quarter earnings for 2008 (first fiscal quarter for 2009) coming out next Wednesday, analysts are offering their predictions on the revenue and unit sales numbers that will be announced. UBS analyst Maynard Um believes, in a note covered by AppleInsider, that iPhone sales for the fourth quarter will be down a good bit from the third quarter, but also reveals that supply chain checks suggest that Apple is building an iPhone with 4GB of memory.

HTC, manufacturer of the T-Mobile G1 smartphone, is set to launch a brand new phone touchscreen phone targeting the Apple iPhone and Palm’s new Pre, according to a senior executive of Telstra via an exclusive report by Smarthouse.

the new smartphone has been developed using a combination of the Google Android operating system and Linux-based software written by HTC itself.

The screen will likely be bigger than any of HTC’s current offerings.

Palm is about to launch Touchscreen-Equipped Palm Pre iPhone

At the consumer electronics show, PALM has announced Palm pre, A new hand set with touch screen which has similar feature of iPhone.

The keyboard they have set with slider at bottom. This feature making device slide thicker but in compare to other it is small.

A OS make a unique menu integration which facilitate user to switch between communication methods without navigating back to the home.

iPhone Can Download Music Over EDGE Too

Tuesday morning phil Schiller has announced at Macworld Expo that Apple has included downloading music, purchase music and podcast feature on iPhone.

This feature will work with 3G Data Connnection and this time it works as previous that support was upto Wi-Fi connected phone and iPhod touches

The thing he did not mentioned is you now can download using the slower (much slower) EDGE data connection as well (a tip o' the hat to Daring Fireball's John Gruber for pointing it out just after the keynote).

Back at the office, I turned off Wi-Fi and 3G on my iPhone, then proceeded to search for and download a free iTunes track using my EDGE connection. And yes, it too worked.
